Said plainly
What a plan never covers
A plan only covers what it lists. These three are what people most often ask about. Its term, how to cancel and the refund rule are in the table above.
Eye disease and injury
Glaucoma checks, infections, a red eye or an injury are medical visits. They are billed to medical insurance if you have it, or to you with a written estimate.
Lenses, frames and contact lenses
A plan covers the exam and the care of your glasses. What you choose to buy is billed separately, and the office gives you the amount in writing first.
Emergencies
A membership does not pay for emergency care. For sudden vision loss, a curtain over your vision or a chemical splash, call us now or go to an emergency room.
Joining
How joining works
Ask
Call or book a time to talk. Ask anything about a plan before you decide.
Read
The office coordinator sends the plan sheet with the term, how to cancel and the refund rule.
Get the fee in writing
The office gives you the current plan fee in writing. You join only when you say yes.
Book your exam
Choose a time for your yearly exam. The term begins on the day you join.
About the plans
Questions about the plans
Can I leave a plan early?
Yes. Cancel in writing at any time. The plan's refund rule says what is returned for the unused months, less any visit you have used.
Does a plan renew by itself?
The plan sheet says what happens at the end of the term, and the office reminds you before it ends.
Can I add a family member later?
Ask the office. A person can join a household plan, and the office gives you the new terms in writing first.
Does a plan work with a vision plan?
Some people keep a vision plan for glasses and join here for the exam. Tell us the name of your plan and the office tells you what it can and cannot bill to it.
Questions about a plan?
Call the office and the coordinator will go through the term, how to cancel and the refund rule with you.
