Contact lenses
A fitting is more than an exam
For adults who want contact lenses, or want to change what they wear.
A contact lens fitting is a separate visit from your eye exam. It checks the shape of your eye, finds a lens that fits and teaches you to handle it.
The yearly exam is part of your plan. The fitting is billed separately, and the office gives you the amount in writing first.

Four steps
The steps of a fitting
Step 1: Measure
The doctor measures the front of your eye and chooses a lens to try.
Step 2: Try
You wear a trial pair, and the doctor checks how it sits and how you see.
Step 3: Learn
We teach you to put the lenses in, take them out and clean them.
Step 4: Follow up
A short visit after you have worn them, to check the fit and your eyes.
Your prescription is yours
Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy after your exam and fitting, and you can fill it anywhere. A contact lens prescription is released when the fitting is finished, and you can fill it anywhere.
